Last year saw the first ever Australia wide Climate Action Summit. Hundreds of people came from hundreds of Climate Action Groups from around Australia to talk, discuss and share ideas and plan for a return to a safe climate.

In the year of a federal election after Copenhagen how do we move forward?

The second Australian Climate Action Summit will provide much needed space for the climate movement to take a deep breath, evauate our wins and losses of 2009, reassess the political landscape and discuss next steps in the fight for climate justice!

Climate Action Groups, concerned citizens and organisations will come together as a diverse and powerful movement. The Summit will build on last year by facilitating collaboration on key national campaigns and adopting campaign priorities for 2010.

Over three days, people will take part in workshops, discussion panels, decision making and issues sessions to improve the capacity, community networks and strategic direction of the grassroots climate action movement.

Participants will learn important skills for campaigning, lobbying, engaging the media and community, building your local group, taking direct action and more!

Our governments are not providing real climate solutions. Whether it is carbon trading or Copenhagen we deserve better. It’s now up to us. A growing community movement in Australia is building people power for immediate action on climate change.

Together, we can make a global transition to a sustainable future.

Be part of the movement! Come to the summit!
